Hi, I'm Tom.

I've been doing SEO since 2011, and building websites since I was ~13 years old (think Flash, tables, Dreamweaver and <marquee>'s).

SEO

I've been lucky enough to work in a huge variety of businesses, both as the supplier of SEO as a service and the in-house resource responsible for turning SEO magic into trading lifts.

My approach to SEO is wholistic, combining both the know-how of best practices as well as how to create organisational understanding so to create the right context from which to succeed in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). Put it another way, I am capable and confident working with engineers, writers and PR's to make changes to your website and also able to transliterate the works to be done into language accessible to a CFO, CEO and other similar non-technical stakeholders.

Website operating

Alongside unpicking SEO issues I also build and operate websites, covering everything from affiliates to tools and SAAS products. I have bought several websites, and have previously operated websites on behalf of companies, investors and individuals.

I almost always run all aspects of the websites I work on, taking a hands-on approach to the code, content and promotion of the sites, and of course with SEO as their main acquisition channel. I've built my own technology to facilitate creating lightning fast websites (this site is built using the tech I have developed) which share features and back-end technology so to allow for better scale and less repeated work.

Personal life

Alongside my wonderful partner I am a dad to a little girl and two mischievous dogs. As a family we love to travel, watch Disney movies and go on long walks throughout nearby Epping Forest.

During the ~3 mins I get to myself in a given month, I enjoy reading in coffee shops, cooking and playing Badminton. As someone who has been working with web technology for a long time, I also enjoy learning new programming languages and frameworks.
